Really nice food - but the service was v slow. I think we'd had our second drink order before the food came! I had red fish curry, which was probably test best curry dish I've had in Cambridge. I'd def go back, but only if I had plenty of time.

Great food but the service is so s..l..o..w! The entire meal took around 3 hours from 8pm to almost 11pm

Good food, but appalling service. Nowhere should take 2.5 hours for a two-course meal (of which the last 25 minutes were spent waiting for the bill)! We were on the verge of leaving when the bill arrived, so we threw money on the table and left without waiting for change. Luckily this didn't leave them much for a tip, because they should have been paying *us* for the service charge, instead of the other way round! In their defence the tills were out, but even so it's no excuse to get things that badly wrong - anyone halfway competent would simply keep a running total for each table. Unless they get some staff who are smarter than Forrest Gump, this place deserves to die. Which is a shame, because the food is good. But if your staff is solely composed of Johnny (and Janey) No-Stars rejects who wouldn't make the grade at Mickey D's, then you should expect to suffer. I know we'll never go back, and I'll be advising everyone I know to avoid the place.

Really excellent. As they say, "Indian food, but not as you know it". In particular, wonderful fish curries, with intense and complex flavours. Think of this as a good restaurant that serves Kerala food that deserives to be taken at a leisurely pace (rather than just as a better than average "Indian restaurant" for a quick meal). The comparison to make is with other upscale restaurants. And in those terms it isn't at all expensive, and the service (the reasonably busy night I went) was attentive and fine.

The food was great, lots of dishes that I've never seen before and nobody could resist trying everyone else's dishes. The starters were excellent as well, including the strange lamb cutlet dish which tasted like haggis to me. For the main course I had the duck masala which makes my mouth water just typing the name, very nice. The lamb ularthu was exceptionally tasty as well. The only problems were that the service was very slow and the prices are steep e.g. the Kingfisher is £2.75 a bottle (half pint).
